Today was a long and emotional day. We arrived at the hospital about 5:30 am and Justin was not brought up to ICU/recovery until 7:00 pm. Surgery went well. He will stay overnight in the ICU tonight and if everything continues to progress as planned, he will be in his own room tomorrow night and home as soon as Sunday. Justin was his same goofy self in the ICU and doing well.

We ask for continued prayers of recovery. Pathology results will take 1-3 weeks.

From bitching about his catheter and not being able to pee (while peeing), having his nurses tell him he is their favorite patient by far today, telling all of us he loves us repeatedly, speaking English (as opposed to Mandarin), and having great movement in all his limbs, today was a success. Whatever mountain he has to climb tomorrow will come, and he will kick that one’s ass too
